AROOO-ROOO-ROOO-ROOO!
(Thats Beaglese for ACTION ALERT):
Proud
as we are of our part in helping to rescue and rehome the Ridglan Beagles,
we at WPMP know that our work is far from done. As long as there
is a demand for animal test subjects, there will be someone supplying the
animals to laboratories to run those tests.
Working together, we MUST put
an end to that demand, and the only way to do that is by ending the use of
animals in outdated, cruel, and unnecessary lab tests that yield questionable
results. The Center for a Humane Economy (CHE) has drafted legislation to help
stop taxpayer dollars from funding these experiments nationwide, with Wisconsin
legislators Tammy Baldwin and Mark Pocan taking key roles in this effort.

From the
Center for a
Humane Economy (CHE):
Dear Friend,
Wisconsin has been at the center
of the fight to end cruel dog and cat experimentation. Now we have an
opportunity to help stop taxpayer dollars from funding these experiments
nationwide.
Congress is considering language
that would prohibit the National Institutes of Health (NIH) from funding
research on dogs and cats. If enacted, it would represent a major step toward
ending federally funded dog and cat experimentation and accelerating the
transition to modern, human-relevant research methods.
Please
take just one minute to send a message to your Senators urging them to support
this proposal.

Your
voice can make a real difference. Thank you for standing with us as we work to
end taxpayer-funded dog and cat experimentation.
Sincerely,
