Thorp Dog Auction Scrapbook: Whitey

Previous -- Next

Whitey is listed as a purebred West Highland Terrier and is terrified of everyone.

Whitey is listed as a West Highland Terrier; though a handsome boy, he really doesn't look purebred.

Another "undocumented alien" -- an out-of-state dog with no Vet Certificate of Health as required by law -- Whitey's badly discolored feet are a result of terribly infected cysts between his toes. The vet believes these cysts were caused by a combination of a lifetime (2 years) on wire and poor husbandry. He’s almost done with his first course of antibiotics, but will probably need another.

Aside from having very sore feet, Whitey is terrified of people and of new situations. See how apprensively he looks at the hand administering a gentle pet? Whitey will require a lot of patient, loving rehabilitation.
